Dear presidents of the national Buiatrics associations and their members, dear friends and colleagues working with cattle,
also the next webinar of the World Association for Buiatrics will be held directly from the venue of an important regional buiatric congress, and precisely the European Buiatric Congress and ECBHM Jubilee Symposium, that will be held in Berlin from 24 to 26 August, 2023.
The webinar will be inspired by two important events that will be held during the congress, and precisely the award ceremony of the Gustav Rosenberger Memorial Fund (GMRF) and one of the most important keynote presentation at the congress.

The webinar is the seventh of a series of event aimed to present the buiatric associations that in the different parts of the world offer their activities in promoting the diffusion of the knowledge related to cattle, and to implement their network, encouraging exchange of experiences and, why not, common projects or lobbying at beneficial of the buiatric professional work, both at the academic, public, private, and industrial level.

The Gustav Rosenberger Memorial Fund annually provides a grant of 10.000 Euro to a young and promising veterinarian, preferably from a country or area with suboptimal possibilities, to develop veterinary knowledge in the field of cattle health and is generously sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim.
Dr. Tshering Choden will use the grant for a study on molecular tools to explore the research gaps in the serotyping of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) viruses in Bhutan with locally applicable and economical evidence-based approaches. This will be carried out in close collaboration with the University of Calgary, Canada.
The award will be presented on Thursday 24 August, in Berlin, during the Opening Ceremony of the European Buiatrics Congress and Jubilee Symposium of the European College of Bovine Health Management. Tshering will be awarded by prof. Theo Lam, chairman of the Gustav Rosenberger Memorial Fund.
In 2024 the award will be presented during the Wordl Buiatric Congress that will be held in Cancun (Mexico), 20-24 May, 2024.
