Gustav Rosenberger Award 2023 for Tshering Choden
The 2023 Gustav Rosenberger Award will be presented to Mrs. Tshering Choden from Bhutan. The Award, a grant of €10.000, will be used for a study on molecular tools to explore the research gaps in the serotyping of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) viruses in Bhutan with locally applicable and economical evidence-based approaches. This will be carried out in close collaboration with the University of Calgary, Canada.
The award will be presented on Thursday 24 August, during the Opening Ceremony of the European Buiatrics Congress and Jubilee Symposium of the European College of Bovine Health Management that will be held in Berlin, Germany. Tshering will be awarded by prof. Theo Lam, chairman of the Gustav Rosenberger Memorial Fund.
The Gustav Rosenberger Memorial Fund annually provides a grant to a young and promising
veterinarian, preferably from a country or area with suboptimal possibilities to develop veterinary knowledge in the field of cattle health and is generously sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim.
